Department of Drum Set Studies
BE A PERFORMER
This course needs a lot of training and skill. Students will be guided thru a course path of practical, theory and placement as part of their course. Students are required to complete a performer certification in drumkit. The course also offers advance skill training. Please contact our school for more details.

Course duration: 2 years ( 4 times per week )
Entry age: 18 yrs and above
 

Be a Teacher

BE A TEACHER

This is a career path for those who wish to be a music teacher. This course has entry qualification. Those without prior training may have to complete our basic to advance course, thereon student will be guided thru the grading examination till diploma. Upon completing diploma in teaching student may start their career with our associate partners.
 
Type of course: Individual
Course duration: 3 years ( 4 sessions per week )
Entry age: 18 yrs and above
 
DRUMKIT EXAMINATION

A 6 months pre-preparation ( 3 months of basic and 3 months of intermediate) course is needed for those without formal training. Students will go through intensive exam preparations according to TCL or rockschool syllabus. Sight reading, technical woks, improvisation etc.

ADVANCE TECHNIQUES

This is a specialist course. The course offers technical skilled playing. Double bass pedal control, advance snare drum techniques, and many more, please check for more details at our school.

Course duration: 3 mths
Entry age: 12 yrs and above
 
ADVANCE DRUM PLAY

Advance I & II are equivalent to grade 3 to 5 standard. By now the students will be learning to play different genres. This enables them to do more research in each selected genre. At this level students will be trained to play at faster tempo, transcribing and playing more advance fills with improvisation methods. Playing an instrument needs a lot of control.

Course duration: 6 mths per level ( 60 min/session)
Entry age: 12 yrs and above
